Social Media for the Public Sector Conference - Melbourne 21-22 March 2012

The Social Media for the Public Sector Conference 2012, run by CommStrat, will present practical information and case studies showcasing the successful use of social media in the government sector and provide attendees with a vital resource that can be used to build their organisation's social media presence.

As the popularity of social media continues to grow, there is an unprecedented opportunity for government and the wider public sector to interact with the community, deliver services, obtain feedback and build an organisational brand with an immediacy that is unmatched by traditional communication modes.

Key topics that will be examined at the conference include:

  • how to develop a social media strategy for your organisation;
  • integrating social media into your existing communication strategies;
  • engaging with the community using social media; and
  • measuring the success of your social media campaign.

The conference speaking program will feature speakers from local, state and federal government and the wider public sector, with speakers already confirmed from organisations including Wyndham City Council, University of Technology Sydney, and our endorsing partner, the Victorian Government's eGovernment Resource Centre.

The Social Media for the Public Sector Conference will be co-located with the Public Sector Business Solutions Show at the Melbourne Park Function Centre, Melbourne and Olympic Parks. More information is available from Social Media for the Public Sector Conference 2012.
