- "The state governments of NSW and Victoria are seeking to register the .sydney, .melbourne and .victoria strings and potentially .NSW, as a new Top Level Domain (TLD) through ICANN's New Generic TLD Program, to ensure this key digital asset is secured for use by the respective Government agencies and their communities. The NSW Department of Finance and Services as Principal will oversee the development of the application, and is seeking an appropriately qualified vendor to assist it to apply to ICANN to obtain the TLDs and, if successful, to establish, operate, maintain and market the TLDs on a self-funded commercial basis.
