The Victoria Online Thesaurus is a subject thesaurus of descriptive terms that reflect the themes and resources within Victoria Online (VO), the Victorian Government's online portal. Victoria Online is a metadata-driven gateway to Victorian State, Federal and Local government information. The VO Thesaurus has been developed to populate the Keyword (DC.Subject) field within the VO Metadata Application Profile (VOMAP).

The current brand 'Victoria Online' was not meaningful to our users. No-one searched for the site using these words and we also felt that we should capitalise on our government domain name – which often appears in our search terms when users want to get to our site. Our current logo and branding was largely unknown and outdated.
So we got a new logo designed..."

- On 6 November 2010 in Perth, the Victorian Government Contacts and Services Directory won the Government Section of the Australian Web Industry Association Awards. In addition the directory also announced as one of three shortlisted for the Overall Australian National Award.
