Mr Straw's thoughtful leadership and practical contributions through decades of profound technology, cultural and economic change have made a real difference to Victoria's public sector, industry and research sectors. Mr Straw was a pioneer in the development of Government services online, which has become a core element of current Government practice. He has consistently initiated more innovative and effective approaches to Government procurement and has led collaborative and creative partnerships between the public and private sectors to realise greater benefits for the Victorian economy and community."
