Lifecycle Guidance - Victoria

Lifecycle Guidance material is part of the Victorian Government Gateway Initiative, which is a General Government-wide project to improve selection, management and investment delivery for the State of Victoria. Implementation of the Gateway Initiative advances the Government’s commitment to responsible financial and resource management.

Lifecycle Guidance Objectives

The objectives of the Lifecycle guidance material are to:

  • Establish a best practice, consistent approach to investment undertakings throughout the investment lifecycle.
  • Facilitate clear presentation of information supporting asset investment proposals for informed decisions by government (including proposals recommending a Partnerships Victoria delivery option).
  • Guide project management through the phases from concept to operational delivery.
  • Promote best practice in project monitoring and evaluation including post implementation review, to enhance investment outcomes in current and future projects.

This guidance is being broadened for application in program and non-asset investment proposals.
