The Victorian Government’s Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development Corporate web site - An example of a corporate departmental web site that retains accessibility compliance. This site has some accessibility features such as visible skip links and the ability to increase the text size of the site.
The Victorian Government’s Department of Education web site - Recently redeveloped, the Department of Education site contains a variety of additional accessibility features such as standards compliance and icons to assist in defining site sections.
Monash University web site - The Monash University is accessible and contains other accessibility features such as standards compliance and additional search options.
The Victorian Government’s Skilled Migrants Program – Live in Victoria web site by the Department for Victorian Communities - The site designers have produced a site that is both accessible and attractive to its audience as well as ensuring the site can be used by people with a first language other than English. This site also includes additional accessibility features such as captioned video and alternative language pages.
The Victorian Government’s YouthCentral web site by the Department for Victorian Communities - This site retains accessibility compliance while relying on a heavily graphical design to attract the youth audience. This site contains additional accessibility features such as the ability to increase the text size.
The Victorian Government’s Companion Card web site by the Department of Human Services - The Companion Card web site is aimed at people with disabilities and thus the Department of Human Services decided to make sure the site complied with Level AAA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The web site contains accessibility features such as icons to assist in interpreting navigational items and alternative language pages.
The Victorian Government’s Disability Online web site by the Department of Human Services - The Disability Online web site is also aimed at people with disabilities and thus the Department of Human Services decided to make sure the site complied with Level AAA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The web site contains accessibility features such as icons to assist in interpreting navigational items, the ability to change a variety of visual settings of the web site and alternative language pages and visible skip links.
Villa Maria web site - Villa Maria is a disability service provider and so the site needed to be compliant with Level AAA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The site uses colour to assist in differentiating between site sections. All abbreviations are also marked up properly.
