- The Victorian government has created a volunteers campaign website. "The "Vital, Valued, Victorians" campaign is aimed at valuing our emergency services volunteers. This campaign focuses on the Country Fire Authority, the State Emergency Service, Life Saving Victoria, Community Emergency Response Teams and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard. We want to recognise these everyday Victorians in a meaningful way by highlighting the important work they do all year round. We hope to create broad community understanding about the breadth and the scope of the work emergency services volunteers undertake – not just on the frontline.
