Tender for the Whole of Victorian Government eServices Panel
The new Whole of Victorian Government eServices Panel to be established in mid 2011 will be a mandatory contract for use by Victorian Government departments and agencies to procure IT services. Tenders opened Wednesday 23 February and are closing at 2pm, Thursday 31 March 2011. Tenderers to note the existing cap of $1 million has been removed for the new panel arrangement. Current panellists are reminded that they need to apply to be considered for the new panel beyond 30 June 2011.

As of March this year, prior to the tender process, 253 companies were listed on the eServices Panel. The new panel, which came into effect on 1 July, has been drastically slimmed, now consisting of only 188 companies.
Companies that have previously been on the panel and have now missed out are not happy, as it will mean that they lose out on contracts with the government..."

The Victorian Government has cut 65 suppliers from a revamped eServices panel to the dismay of those IT services firms that missed out on a place.
The panel, which commenced 1 July, replaced a four-year-old panel arrangement that had about 250 suppliers.
