Government 2.0 Action Plan Taskforce
A whole-of-Victorian-government Government 2.0 Taskforce (the Taskforce) has been established. The Taskforce is responsible for: Brokering Gov 2.0 opportunities in the Victorian Public Service; Delivering and monitoring the Gov 2.0 leadership projects from all departments; Brokering relationships with other sectors; Ensuring that Gov 2.0 knowledge and good practice is shared across the Victorian Public Service; Monitoring the implementation of the Plan; and Reporting on progress of the Plan and its initiatives to the State Coordination and Management Council.

Under the VPS Gov 2.0 Action Plan, each Department is required to undertake a Government 2.0 project by 30 June 2011. The majority of project scopes have been submitted with projects spanning policy development consultation, workforce development, international trade, and mobile citizen apps.

Under the VPS Gov 2.0 Action Plan, each Department is required to complete a Government 2.0 project by 30 June 2011. This could be related to opening up data, using social media for policy development or expanding opportunities for citizen engagement. Following the Victorian election in November 2010, the revised timeline for leadership projects is as follows: January 2011 - Project scope submitted and reviewed by Taskforce; March 2011 - First progress report; May 2011 - Second progress report; June 2011 - Project implementation commenced.
