- Wales - Individual Health Record (IHR) roll out to fully cover Wales by the end of 2011

"A new online health record for use in out of hours care is available for patients registered at one in three (147) Welsh General Practitioners (GP) practices. This means that nearly 900 000 Welsh patients are benefitting from the IHR. From April 2011, a further 79 practices will come on line, bringing the total to 229, with full coverage across Wales due by the end of 2011..."

- Delivering Digital Inclusion: A Strategic Framework for Wales

The Welsh Assembly Government: is committed to help break down the barriers for the approximately 785,0001 adults who are digitally excluded in Wales; intends to provide clear strategic leadership through this Framework; will bring together a wide range of different stakeholders in the public, private and third sectors to align plans and coordinate activities in order to maximise impact for citizens; will work closely with stakeholders to identify and deliver creative approaches to getting people online to achieve the shared ambition of digital inclusion.
This Framework also outlines the challenges to be faced and the limitations that exist, in order to avoid any gap between expectations and the capacity to deliver. While the Framework seeks to be ambitious, it needs to be realistic. It has a five year timescale..."
- Welsh telehealth pilots save £2.2m
- E-Health Insider Primary Care, 15 November 2010. - Wales to launch e-discharge pilots
