How to use Vote Victoria - Presentation Transcript

  1. How to use  Vote Victoria 2010 Victoria State Election
  2. Download the free Vote Victoria app from the App Store Then open the app from your home screen.
  3. Your app will start up, displaying this screen.
  4. You will need to “allow” the app to access your location to help find your closest voting centres.
  5. Before 27 November, it will open up with your three closest early voting centres. Click on the map option in the top right hand corner to see the voting centres near you.
  6. The map will auto zoom to show your current location. Your nearest voting centres will display as purple pins. You can zoom in and around the locations.
  7. If you select a single voting centre it will bring up the address as well as a blue arrow. This arrow links to Google Maps for directions from your present location.
  8. You will be warned that you will exit the app to go to Google Maps directions. Note Google Maps will show directions for travel by car and walking.
  9. If you click on Election Day -- or if you access the app on 27 November -- the app will display the 10 closest voting centres to your location, in your district. On election day, voting centres will only display if you are in Victoria.
  10. From 6pm on election day you can track the live count. The app will display provisional real-time first preference counts by party, at state- wide and district level straight from the VEC tally room. It will be updated every five minutes.
  11. More Info connects you to different parts of the VEC website, including the virtual tallyroom and frequently asked questions.
  12. We love feedback. Let us know what you think of Vote Victoria and any suggestions. Thanks!
