New €7.3 million data centre announced

"On 19 July 2011, the Maltese Government announced the investment in a new €7.3 million data centre to host the broad portfolio of its forthcoming ICT initiatives, such as the new eGovernment platform, eLearning, eHealth and the new eID cards. The migration process of servers to the data centre is scheduled to start in the coming weeks, and the centre is expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2011..."
