Law on eGovernment adopted in Greece

"On 24 May 2011, the Greek Parliament adopted the Law on eGovernment which constitutes the institutional framework for the organisation and simplification of the relationship between the government and citizens/businesses through ICT.
The law creates a general framework for eGovernment in public administration by: defining concepts; setting forth the basic principles of eGovernment; specifying the obligations of public sector bodies for the use and exploitation of new technologies; giving rights to citizens in relation to the processing of personal data and ICT use; regulating issues regarding the storage and transmission of electronic copies, files and protocols and; examining issues related to the authentication of user services..."
