Stroke Telemedicine in Victoria

The Victorian Stroke Telemedicine project has commenced with contracts completed and working groups commencing. Funding has been provided from the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) and a full time project officer has been appointed by the Florey Neuroscience Institute (lead agency on the project).

Current plans are to pilot videoconferencing technology between Bendigo Health and a team of neurologists based in Melbourne in October 2010.
