Search Tips
Search
The eGovernment Resource Centre is a website organised by placing external links and site articles under a hierarchical structure of categories.
You can search across the whole website and have search results resturned which are either categories, external links, or site articles.
To search, type in the search box at the top of the page:
- a word eg., kiosks, or
- several words eg., kiosks united kingdom - this will search for kiosks and united and kingdom - these words can be found anywhere in a document, or
- an exact phrases (in quotation marks) eg., "united kingdom" - this will search for united kingdom as a phrase in the document rather than as separate words, or kiosks "united kingdom" will search for kiosks and united kingdom.
Click on the Search button or press the 'enter' key on your keyboard, and you will see a list of search results in order of relevance to your query. The search results are returned in the order of categories, external links, and site articles.
You can also exclude words which you do not wish to be found in your search results. If you wish to search for kiosks but not kiosks in victoria - please enter + kiosks - victoria. This search string will retrieve documents containg the word kiosks but not victoria.
Search Results
Search results are presented in the order of categories, external links and site articles containing your search term(s).
You then have the ability to narrow your search further within the search results presented. For example if you want to search for health within the search results for kiosks united kingdom, type health in the search results box.
Your initial search results are further refined to those documents containing the word health.
