ICT Procurement Policy Standard and Guidelines

The Victorian Government's ICT Procurement Policy and Standards apply to tenders and contracts involving the procurement of ICT goods and/or services. The ICT Procurement Policy identifies who is bound by the policy, and requires those who are bound by it to comply with the requirements contained in the ICT Procurement Standards. Presently there are four ICT Procurement Standards addressing the following areas:

  • Intellectual Property (IP) in Software
  • Liability Clauses
  • Types and Levels of Insurance
  • Tendering Documentation.

Guidelines have been developed to support the implementation of the Standards addressing Intellectual Property in Software and Liability Clauses.

The GITC (Government Information Technology and Communications) standard agreement has been amended in accordance with the ICT Procurement Policy and Standards.

ICT Procurement Policy and Standards come into effect on Monday 3 July 2006.

The ICT policy, standards and guidelines are available from the Department of Treasury and Finance and access to them is provided for you below:
