The answer to that question is both simple and complex, and it goes to the heart of a global movement around information called open data.
Most of our data came from governments. We gathered it from the federal government and the provincial government, but by far the biggest resource was the City of Calgary. Much of the information was supplied by City Hall, and the city continues to provide data as the project evolves..."
