Local government sites score better on visit success but central government sites better on satisfaction

... says new Socitm analysis of website performance data. SOCITM, Published Monday 23rd August 2010. "However, based on the sample that reported their website performance to the Central Office of Information (CoI) in April this year, central government sites score higher that local ones do on visitor satisfaction. This apparent paradox is revealed in a supplement to Socitm's bi-annual report on results from its Customer Access Improvement Service, which incorporates data from its Website take-up service (WTS) which measures usage of, and satisfaction with, local authority websites..."
