Some favourable comments included:
- This is a fantastic service - you are saving aust gov agencies & depts thousands and thousands of hours in individual monitoring
- This is a valuable resource, showcasing best practice here and overseas. I recommend this e-newsletter to everyone I come into contact with in the gov2.0 space. Thank you and keep up the great work!
- The newsletter is a fantastic resource, for both govt (as I used to be) and non-govt (as I am now) professionals - thanks for making it freely available to all.
- It's better than any other e-newsletter I receive
- Keep up the good work, I really welcome case studies of successful Vic gov use of of social media.
- Commenting on articles on the egov site could be a good way to stimulate discussion within the Victorian egov community.
Some not so favourable included:
- I find the newsletter very busy and feel a bit of information overload when I first look at it. Could the design be simplified and direct me to what I 'should read'? Like Week's highlights?
- Formatting does not work with Lotus Notes - It looks like a dog's breakfast!
- Reduce the number of clicks to get to the articles.
- There is a huge amount of information in each email - probably a sign of the growing interest in this area. What can be done to streamline it remains to be seen - perhaps do not repeat article headlines but send people to an archive section.
- I'd put the time into reading it if it wasn't so frequent and didn't appear so overwhelming!
What Next?
There was a suggestion to change the order of items.. topics first, then Vic/Aust, then countries last. We did this with the newsletter on 19 May - hope this makes a difference?
Another suggestion provided was for commenting on articles to stimulate discussion - this feature is currently available. To use this feature you must be logged in as a member - and then select the Review and rate this article option beneath each article or Review and rate this link beneath each link. Registration is quick and only requires a user name password and email address.
Please keep providing your feedback so we can continue to improve this service for you.
