The eGovernment Resource Centre provides access to the Victorian Government body of knowledge on eGovernment, information and communications technology (ICT) and government website best practices, with Australian and international examples. It is managed by Information Victoria within the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation.

The eGovernment Resource Centre is now offering its egovernment newsletter and other digests (broadband, engagement, e-health and government web managers) as eGovernment news feeds in RSS format. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary.

There has been demand from across government for a dedicated Victorian Government url shortening service. Some government departments ban access to some external URL shortening services. Victorian government is currently using a wide variety of external URL shortening services which do not have the authenticity of government attached to them. Providing a URL shortening service for the Victorian Government will enable the government to be able to keep its data authenticity while ensuring that data reaches a wider audience.
